The purpose of the Worship Committee shall be to assure that the worship services of the congregation are conducted in accordance with the theology of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and in response to the varied spiritual needs and cultural backgrounds of the congregation's members and worshipers.  In futherance thereof,  the Worship Committee shall periodically review and evaluate worship service settings, hymnals and other devotional materials in consultation with the Pastor and shall report to the Congregation Council its evaluations and recommendations with respect thereto.

 The Worship Committee shall advance choral and instrumental music  as an integral part of the worship service.  To enhance the proclamation of the Gospel, the Worship Committee shall arrange for the acquisition, utilization and proper care of the paraments, vestments, banners, paintings, sculptures and works of sacred art.  The Worship Committee shall also oversee the proper care and arrangement of the altar, the presentation of the sacraments and the display of floral arrangements and other decor in the sanctuary to the glory of God.  The Worship Committee shall strive to enlist in the proper and prudent accomplishment of the foregoing duties as many as possible of the individual members and organizations of the congregation.
